Animation is one of my absolute favorite things to work with.
I use subtle character acting, memorable storyboarding, sound design, and bold colors to bring living emotion into my work. I am experienced with Toon Boom Harmony and Blender, am getting to know Adobe After Effects, and am always willing to pick up a new technique to get things moving!
I really enjoy finding the visual brand that suits a client’s concepts and replicating it across a portfolio of material. As a designer, I always try to think of the connections that can be drawn between concepts, and even different media, to communicate an idea clearly. I’ve got a lot of experience in Adobe Illustrator, Canva, Figma, and use my other knowledge of other software for graphic design as well.
I keep myself busy taking on a lot of mediums.
Here are some of my other skills and interests apart from animation and design. I love to mix fields of knowledge and different artistic formats to create work, so you’ll be seeing a lot of overlap in the projects here.
Joshua White is an artist who creates work that connects design, animation, and 3D work both virtual and physical with the subtle nature of relationships and interpersonal normalcy. He’s done a lot of volunteer work with organizations advocating for students and the arts, developed and is currently working on an animated webseries called Harbor City, WV, and currently works as a graphic designer at a local printing company. When he’s not working, he’s either playing old point-and-click games, talking about art with his friends, or pursuing a new unreasonable project. He tells a good joke every week or so.
